In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that address trends relevant to corrective services as part of the Innovation and Integration Group (IIG).
The primary accountabilities of the Principal Priority Delivery Officer include:
- Lead and participate in project teams and autonomously to deliver key initiatives with clearly specified outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations that support the ongoing design, development, implementation and review of a range key initiatives in line with strategic objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis autonomously and embed an evidence-based and data-driven analytical approach to inform design and development of key initiatives, including identifying related policy and legislative frameworks.
- Generate correspondence, briefings and submissions for various audiences, including high level advice to Government, Ministerial, executive and senior management regarding the development, progress and delivery of key IIG initiatives, arising issues and core business as directed.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with the goal of ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered to improve frontline service delivery and regular progress updates are maintained.
- Negotiate with other government agencies and key stakeholders as required to ensure the achievement of organisational objectives.
- Design and embed project controls including evaluation and review mechanisms to achieve delivery outcomes.
- Provide high level advice to the Director, Innovation and Integration Group on emerging issues and the options and strategies for managing emerging issues.
