Working under appropriate Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) supervision, you'll provide engineering input, technical advice and construction support while developing practical experience across project delivery. You'll coordinate allocated work packages, monitor construction performance and support the delivery of projects against safety, quality, environmental, programme and financial requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of civil infrastructure construction and maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate construction activities and allocated work packages against scope, programme, budget, specifications and safety requirements.
  • Provide engineering and technical support under appropriate RPEQ supervision.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, quantities, quality outcomes and emerging delivery risks.
  • Prepare project reports, forecasts, technical correspondence, inspection records and supporting documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, construction teams, suppliers, subcontractors, designers and technical specialists.
  • Assist with procurement activities, subcontractor packages, variations and claims within delegated responsibilities.
  • Contribute to inspections, testing, quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement.

About you

You'll bring a Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia, together with a valid Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or equivalent. Experience in civil infrastructure construction, maintenance or rehabilitation is desirable, as is experience supporting road, bridge, drainage, concrete, steel or related infrastructure works.
