About the role
The Emergency Mental Health Parallel Care Clinician Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care within Metro North Mental Health, working across the Acute Care Team at Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals. Practising at an advanced scope, the role delivers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, care planning, treatment and evaluation for consumers experiencing complex mental health presentations, while operating with a high level of professional autonomy and clinical decision-making.
The successful candidate will lead and support nurse-led models of care, provide specialist mental health interventions, prescribe and manage treatments within their scope of practice, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and community providers. The role also contributes to service evaluation, quality improvement, research, education and clinical leadership initiatives that enhance consumer outcomes and support contemporary mental health care delivery.
