About your role
As a Senior Physiotherapist in this frontline role, you'll deliver evidence-based physiotherapy and clinical education services to acute inpatients across Bayside Health Service.
- Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, interventions and evaluations for acute inpatients, applying evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgement.
- Provide clinical education, supervision and support to junior physiotherapists, students and Allied Health Assistants.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, prioritise workloads and facilitate effective discharge planning.
- Contribute to clinical governance, research, quality improvement and the development of evidence-based policies, procedures and protocols.
- Support team capability and service delivery through clinical advice, professional development, staff orientation and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
You're an experienced physiotherapist who combines strong clinical expertise with a commitment to patient-centred care, education and continuous improvement.
- Advanced physiotherapy knowledge and clinical skills in acute inpatient care, including experience delivering clinical education to pre-entry students.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clinical advice and manage conflict constructively.
- Effective clinical reasoning, workload prioritisation and discharge planning skills in a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, educate and support junior clinicians, students and other members of the healthcare team.
- Initiative and a commitment to developing, implementing and evaluating service improvement activities that enhance patient care.

About the Bayside Health Service Physiotherapy & Podiatry Department
The Physiotherapy& Podiatry Department is based at Redland Hospital and delivers services across all Bayside Health Service facilities. This position may be required to work throughout Bayside Health Service and the position's primary work location may change based on operational requirements.
Bayside Health Service includes the Redland Hospital (a 188-bed acute secondary teaching hospital), Marie Rose Centre, Gundu Pa (Wynnum-Manly Community Health Centre) and Redlands Satellite Hospital. Redland Hospital is co-located with the 60-bed Mater Private Hospital Redland and Redland Residential Care (a 126-bed high care residential aged care facility).
