Oral Health is one of the many primary health care services which sit under the Women's and Children's Service Group Corporate and Clinical Governance Structure. The Townsville Oral Health Service is responsible for the provision of oral health services across the greater Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Due to the distance from a private dental surgery, non-eligible patients are also able to access the visiting Oral Health service at Hughenden and Richmond on a fee for service basis.

The Oral Health Unit in Corporate Office advocates facilitates and supports the state-wide delivery of Oral Health services and the achievements of targets in Oral Health treatment and prevention.
