About us:

Since opening on January 21, 1878, our school has a long history of providing quality education opportunities for children of Aramac and surrounding shires. Students are blessed with small student to teacher ratios to ensure students reach their highest potential. At present, Aramac State School has an enrolment of over 50 students in Kindy to Year 10.

Aramac State School provides children with a whole school curriculum supported by a range of extra-curricular activities in hospitality, sport, and music. These wonderful educational experiences are aimed at providing children with additional options to further their skills.

The staff are a mix of youth and experience who offer quality learning programmes with a consistent approach across the whole school. The school is recognised within the community as an essential focal point for a very active and supportive parent body.

Our three school rules Be safe, Be responsible and Be respectful are the guiding pillars in our school and the community. Students are explicitly taught how to interact with these different rules and what they mean.

Your opportunity:

As Principal, you will lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. You will translate this vision into clear priorities and lead the implementation of strategies that support ongoing school improvement.

You will set high standards for student and staff performance and promote a culture of accountability, reflection and professional development. You will encourage staff to participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, supporting the continued development of teaching and leadership practice.

You will uphold the principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity, demonstrating integrity and sound judgement in your leadership and decision-making. You will model high standards of professional conduct and foster trust, respect and shared responsibility across the school community.

Embedding socially just practices in daily school life will be central to your leadership. You will ensure equity and fairness are reflected in the school's practices, policies and interactions, while supporting an environment that respects the diverse needs and contributions of students, staff and the wider community.

Through purposeful leadership and engagement with the school community, you will lead continuous improvement and ensure the school's vision, priorities and practices remain focused on providing quality educational experiences for all students.
