The National Fire Ant Eradication Program is seeking a Senior Project Officer to join our Program Delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Australia's largest biosecurity programs and support the governance, coordination and administration functions that help drive successful program outcomes.

In this role, you will work closely with project teams, executives and stakeholders to support governance boards and committees, coordinate meetings and logistics, prepare reports and briefing materials, maintain records and action registers and ensure the smooth flow of information across the program.

You will play an important role in supporting effective governance by coordinating committee activities, maintaining documentation, preparing agendas and papers, recording accurate minutes and following up actions and decisions. You will also assist with project reporting, stakeholder coordination, risk and issue management processes and a range of administrative activities that underpin program delivery.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident working with a broad range of stakeholders. You'll bring strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to one of Queensland's most significant biosecurity initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Develop skills in governance, project coordination and program administration.
