About us:

Glenden State School Kindy-12 campus has forged a very strong school community partnership over the past several years.  As a result, our students have benefited from educational opportunities within the classrooms and through lifelong learning experiences available to them.  Collectively, this has provided them with a solid foundation to begin their early year's education and continue through to becoming active members of society at the completion of Year 12.

We are a K-12 school catering to the diverse and varied interests of our students and community. In many ways, we value the traditions of relationships forming the core of everything we do, and we work together to provide the best possible education for all our students.

To us, quality education encompasses the traditional elements of our school; embracing effective teaching and learning, and working to explore the universal themes of successful living in Central Queensland, Australia and in the world.

Through the year we participate in a range of curricular and co-curricular programs. Despite our remote location, our students are offered, and benefit from every opportunity we can give them to participate fully in their schooling.

We are proud to be a PBL school (Positive Behaviour for Learning) and in everything we do, we strive for SAFETY, SUCCESS and RESPECT.
