Guided by our school priorities of Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Positive Culture for Learning, and Belonging and Engagement, we place learners at the centre of everything we do.

Our school is committed to evidence-informed practice, professional collaboration and continuous improvement. Through our Teaching and Learning Framework we strive to create classrooms where every student is supported, challenged and empowered to achieve success. We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable and collaborative Pedagogy Coach to strengthen teaching practice and build collective teacher capability across Mitchelton State High School.

The Pedagogy Coach will work alongside teachers and school leaders to embed evidence-informed teaching strategies, support the implementation of our Teaching and Learning Framework and foster a culture of professional growth and reflective practice. Through instructional coaching, classroom observations, modelling, feedback and professional learning, the successful applicant will support teachers to refine their practice in explicit teaching, differentiation, assessment, feedback and student engagement. The role will also contribute to the development of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), supporting staff to collaboratively examine student learning evidence, share effective practices and evaluate the impact of teaching on student outcomes.

Central to this position is a commitment to building trust, strengthening professional relationships and empowering teachers to take ownership of their professional growth. Our ideal candidate is an accomplished educator who can translate educational research into practical classroom strategies, inspire colleagues and contribute to a shared culture of excellence in teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the next phase of teaching and learning at Mitchelton State High School.
