About us:

Big region, big impact and plenty of heart! Our Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service supports more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, Gladstone, the Capricorn Coast, Central Highlands and Banana regions. From adults to children and young people, our passionate teams deliver specialist care, treatment and support to help people navigate life's challenges and find their path to recovery.

With services located across the region, we work hand-in-hand with hospitals, healthcare professionals, community organisations and local providers to make sure people get the right support when they need it. From acute mental health care and community-based support to alcohol and other drug services, early intervention and recovery programs, we're all about making a meaningful difference.

About the role:

  • Deliver person-centred, recovery-focused mental health care through clinical assessments, risk assessments, care planning, therapeutic interventions and ongoing case management. You'll support consumers through their mental health journey, helping them build resilience, achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing.
  • Keep learning, developing and building your expertise with access to professional development, peer support, mentoring and clinical supervision. You'll have plenty of opportunities to expand your knowledge, strengthen your skills and learn from an experienced team.
  • Work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team, collaborating with consumers, carers, families and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated care. You'll also have opportunities to provide outreach to surrounding teams and participate in extended-hours services when required.
  • Be part of shaping better mental health services through quality improvement, clinical data and service development activities. Share your knowledge by supporting students and less experienced colleagues, and enjoy opportunities to rotate across different clinical areas within this integrated service.

About you:

  • Bring your clinical know-how. Have the relevant qualifications and registration, plus a solid understanding of adult mental health care, the Mental Health Act 2016 and national standards.
  • People skills are your superpower. Build strong therapeutic relationships, communicate with confidence and thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Share the knowledge. Be ready to support less experienced colleagues and help students learn and grow.
  • Juggle it all. Bring great time management, clinical skills and the ability to prioritise while delivering quality, recovery-focused care.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $137,760 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $46.06 - $60.89 p.h.
