About the role
Multiple opportunities to provide contemporary evidence based consumer/person focused care, in collaboration with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate optimal health outcomes for the recipients of healthcare services
About STARS Hospital
The Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) is the newest healthcare facility for Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS). STARS is a 182-bed specialist public health facility that couple's complex rehabilitation and specialist elective surgical services and procedures in a planned procedure environment to provide patients with greater access to care in clinically recommended timeframes.
The facility provides a range of new and expanded healthcare services to:
- Increase access to specialist rehabilitation services, elective surgery and endoscopy services.
- Reduce the number of sub-acute rehabilitation patients being treated in acute beds.
- Meet the growing demand for specialist rehabilitation services.
- Ensure more patients have access to services within clinically recommended timeframes.
- Reduce patient wait times for specialist rehabilitation, elective surgery and endoscopy services.
