Are you ready to bring your HR expertise to a role where your work directly supports the success of Queensland's elite athletes? Join the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) as we embark on an exciting period of growth and transformation. We are seeking an experienced and efficient HR Business Partner who thrives in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
In this pivotal role, you will have primary responsibility for delivering HR business partner services. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Case management of complex and sensitive employment issues such as grievances, conflict, conduct and discipline matters, health issues and return to work programs.
• Apply a working knowledge of public sector employment relations and regulatory requirements in interpreting and providing sound advice in legislation, regulation, policy, guidelines particularly in the areas of positive performance management processes and outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members to support the delivery of innovate high quality human resource products and services.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and sector support providers (e.g., the Public Sector Commission and the Office of Industrial Relations) to identify, plan and implement effective and timely HR strategies and solutions.
• Coach individual managers and executives to build their knowledge and skills and empower them to manage complex people issues proactively and effectively.
• Lead research, design and development of HR initiatives, policies and programs through sharing contemporary HR knowledge, HR solutions implementation experience and in-depth knowledge of the business.
