Tell me more...Seeking a leadership role with purpose and impact?
As Clinical Nurse Consultant - Kowanyama, you'll lead care in one of Queensland's most culturally rich and community-driven locations.
Kowanyama, meaning “Place of Many Waters”, sits on the lands of the Kokoberra, Kunjen and Yir Yoront peoples on the western Cape York Peninsula. It's remote and about an hour by plane from city lights, it's a place of big skies, red dirt roads, river country and community spirit. For the right person, with heart, resilience, cultural humility, and a genuine commitment to walk alongside community, this will be one of the most meaningful and rewarding roles you'll ever take on.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you'll provide advanced clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to a small but dedicated team delivering care in a proud and close-knit Aboriginal community. You'll have the autonomy to make real decisions, lead change, and help strengthen models of care that reflect Kowanyama's cultural values and local ways of knowing, being and doing.
Where on earth is Kowanyama?
Check out Kowanyama on Google. In Kowanyama - time follows the rhythm of Country, shaped by kinship, guided by culture and grounded in connection.
