Your new role:

Join our dynamic Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service (ABIOS) and play a key role in delivering specialist community-based rehabilitation for adults with moderate to severe acquired brain injury (ABI).

In this senior position, you will:

  • Deliver evidence-based clinical case management, rehabilitation coordination, and therapy within an interprofessional team.
  • Lead and contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical education initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Engage with clients, families, and community partners to support reintegration and long-term recovery outcomes.

About you:

You're an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with a passion for ABI rehabilitation and community engagement. You will demonstrate:

  • Advanced clinical skills in ABI rehabilitation, case management, and interdisciplinary practice.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary and community networks.
  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Leadership capability in supervision, education, and service innovation.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
