About us:

The Strategy, Planning and Expansion Division leads the strategic direction, health service planning, and capital expansion of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The division ensures that Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) is positioned to meet the current and future health needs of our diverse communities by delivering integrated, purposefully designed services and infrastructure.

About the role:

  • Coordinate the entire planning lifecycle, providing expert strategic analysis, research, and comprehensive data reporting to address Central Queensland Health needs.
  • Use diagnostic expertise to develop scenario-based workforce models and deliver actionable solutions to mitigate risk and strengthen long-term workforce sustainability.
  • Develop strategies that translate complex data insights into strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, budget, and industrial frameworks.
  • Serve as a key change agent, partnering across the organisation (from service leaders to OD) to successfully implement and embed workforce planning initiatives.
  • Make a tangible impact by ensuring Central Queensland Health has "the right workforce, with the right skills, in the right place, now and into the future."

About you:

  • Proven track record in a senior workforce planning or comparable role, with demonstrated success in driving streamlined patient flow and optimal outcomes.
  • Ability to design and execute a comprehensive, integrated workforce planning approach within a large, complex organisational environment like a Health Service.
  • Expert ability to interpret workforce data, use information management systems, conduct trend analysis and forecasting, and develop/test workforce scenarios.
  • Proven capability to provide sound, independent judgment and strategic advice, delivering contemporary, patient-centred workforce solutions to service leaders.
  • Highly developed written skills for preparing strategies, reports, and presentations, coupled with outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills to maintain strong internal and external relationships.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $148,323 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $61.20 - $65.56 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
