About the role

Grow your career in a service that is growing too.  As a Senior Psychologist, you'll be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team dedicated to supporting people with dual disability. This is a newly created role at an exciting stage of service growth and development.  You will help shape pathways for care, contribute to innovative service design, and collaborate across both inpatient, community, and correctional settings.

The WM IDDMHS provides support to West Moreton Health's Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) to assist with the care of people with an intellectual and/or developmental disability and have possible, or are diagnosed with, mental health disorders. It operates a consultation/liaison model.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • High level clinical knowledge and expertise relevant to the delivery of evidence-based psychology services to consumers of the WM IDDMHS. Implementation and evaluation of psychological therapies and interventions, based on solid psychological assessment and formulation
  • Ability to provide a high standard of effective verbal and written communication in multidisciplinary teams. Timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation of assessments and interventions, including chart entries, database entries, and psychology reports
  • Commitment to continuous service improvement through leading quality improvement and research activities.
  • Actively contributes to a learning environment through clinical supervision, mentoring, and skill sharing.
  • Knowledge of and practices within relevant professional guidelines.
