While this role offers flexible work arrangements, it also has important operational and leadership responsibilities. Specific work arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the preferred candidate to support both organisational needs and individual flexibility.
In line with our current organisational redesign (subject to consultation), oversight of Assets and Commercial Services may be realigned to another Executive Director.

About the role:
- Advise the Board and Executive on strategy, performance, and financial viability to ensure the delivery of safe, equitable health services.
- Drive the $1.0 billion investment in healthcare to maximise clinical outcomes whilst ensuring surpluses for reinvestment, proactive financial management, and a stable operating environment.
- Strategically lead the full portfolio of finance, assets, infrastructure, and IT - driving added value and performance oversight across the organisation.
About you:
- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
- Management and senior leadership experience in a similar sized organisation, with health sector expertise highly regarded.
- You possess the analytical, innovative and critical thinking skills to successfully drive complex programs in a demanding regional environment. You expertly manage all contemporary physical, financial, and human resources, with proven capability in disaster and emergency preparedness.
- You successfully lead and transform large-scale financial management and procurement functions, using strategic professional advice to drive demonstrable outcomes within a complex organisation.
- You champion a collaborative culture built on accountability, transparency, and achievement, leveraging your leadership to ensure long-term operational and organisational sustainability.
- Your advanced expertise in negotiation, consultation, and communication is critical for effectively managing and aligning the competing needs of diverse government and community stakeholders.
- Your personal qualities must be outstanding and fully consistent with the core values of both Queensland Health and Central Queensland Health.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $284,962 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $202,404 - $220,983 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
