In this role, you'll focus on Rheumatic Heart Disease and Skin Health, managing, promoting, and reporting on program deliverables to make a real difference in Cairns communities.

As an Indigenous Health Worker, your advocacy is vital for ensuring Torres and Cape patients receive effective, culturally safe healthcare.
Identified Role: Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
– An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a person who:
o identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and either
o is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
o is accepted as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community in which he or she lives.
