Central Queensland Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Dietitian Director to lead our Nutrition and Dietetics team. In this temporary full-time role, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across acute, community, and outpatient services, driving evidence-based care, workforce development, and innovation in dietetic practice.

Based in Rockhampton, this position offers the opportunity to mentor a skilled team, and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to enhance the health and wellbeing of communities across Central Queensland.

About us:

Nutrition and Dietetics delivers comprehensive, evidence based clinical nutrition and dietetic services across the continuum of acute, sub-acute and community-based services. Central Queensland Health also provides a home enteral nutrition service and works closely with food services to ensure the provision of high-quality nutritious patient centred menus. Our Nutritionists and Dietitians work across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

  • Provide professional leadership, operational management, strategic direction, evaluation, and advocacy, as well as professional and clinical governance of Nutrition and Dietetic services and staff, across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
  • Lead the development of Nutrition and Dietetic services across CQHHS, through supporting the delivery of evidence-based, patient centred care.
  • This position reports operationally to the Director Allied Health Acute (Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan) and professionally to the Executive Director Allied Health.
  • All Dieticians employed in health practitioner positions within CQHHS professionally report to this position.

About you:

  • Mandatory possession of a Degree / Post Graduate qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised Tertiary Institution. Eligibility for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status is required.
  • While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification in relevant field would be well regarded.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,384 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
