We’re excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to our Surgical Inpatient Unit (IPU 4C) at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The Clinical Nurse’s (CN) role is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The CN is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.

The Clinical Nurse's (CN) role is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Pre and post-operative care for complex surgical patients.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work health and safety and ethical behaviour.
Remuneration value up to $131 900 p.a., comprising salary between $107 960 - $115 604 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1) (Permanent Full-time and/or Part-time positions available).
