Central Queensland Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our Specialist Outpatients Department in this permanent part-time opportunity. You’ll take the lead in coordinating complex care for IBD patients, managing drug therapies, follow-up, and surveillance to optimise outcomes. About us:
The Specialist Outpatients Department (SOPD) of the Rockhampton Hospital covering 9 major specialties – Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT, General Surgery, General Medicine, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Urology. There are various other visiting specialties including Pacemaker clinic, Rheumatology, Adult Congenital Heart Disease outreach clinic as well as Telehealth clinics e.g. Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinic.
About the role:
A Clinical Nurse (CN) within the Specialist Outpatients Department with responsibility of the portfolio of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the clinical coordination of complex patient care for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients who require complex drug therapies as well as follow-up and surveillance to optimise their condition.
About you:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the area of IBD and general medical nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate / facilitate and navigate through clinical services.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team across the acute-community care continuum.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $69,768 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
