An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Support Officer to join our Breastscreen QLD team. The Clinical Support Officer will provide a high level of confidential administrative support to the Medical Director and assessment services for BreastScreen Qld Sunshine Coast Service. This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication daily both internally and externally with various stakeholders, departments and agencies. The Clinical Support Officer operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position whilst maintaining open channels of communication. The position works closely, coordinating and supporting a multi-disciplinary team of clinical staff to ensure consistent and high-quality services supporting assessment and screening clients.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Support Officer to join our Breastscreen QLD team. The Clinical Support Officer will provide a high level of confidential administrative support to the Medical Director and assessment services for BreastScreen Qld Sunshine Coast Service. This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication daily both internally and externally with various stakeholders, departments and agencies. The Clinical Support Officer operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position whilst maintaining open channels of communication.
BSQSC is part of the BreastScreen Queensland and BreastScreen Australia Programs. The objectives of the program are to reduce the mortality and morbidity of breast cancer in women aged over 40, with a target population of women aged 50-74. BSQSC provides Screening Mammography and Assessment Services to eligible women within two Hospital and Health Services, being the Sunshine Coast and Cooloola area of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and the Caboolture and Kilcoy areas of the Metro North Hospital and Health Service. The Service incorporates six static services located at Nambour, Caboolture, Caloundra, Gympie, Maroochydore and Noosaville, as well as a Mobile BSQ Service to 12 sites including Cooroy, Beerwah, Bribie Island, Kawana, Kenilworth, Kilcoy, Maleny, Nambour Mill, Maroochydore, Morayfield, Sippy Downs and Tin Can Bay, with possible future expansion planned.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide end-user support to all BreastScreen employees, in relation to assessment clinic services in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Liaise with Medical Director, Senior Medical Officers, Breast Imaging Radiographer Advanced, Clinical Nurse Consultant and Administration Co-ordinator to support and lead activities relating to the day-to day management of assessment clinic services.
- Resolve day-to-day issues regarding medical and clinical support and secretarial administrative procedures and processes, and client enquiries within the team.
- Actively participate and lead the review of processes and work practices relating to the BreastScreen Quality Standards Protocols and Procedures Manual (QSPPM), National Accreditation Standards and the State BreastScreen Business Processes that support clinical work standards for assessment clinic, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $114 177 p.a, comprising salary rates: $45.81 - $50.46 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4) (Fixed term temporary part position, 30.4 hrs p.f. for up to 5 months).
