You will be responsible for allocating tasks and resolving low level issues, administrative or logistical for the delivery and client focused service of pharmaceutical products of a high-quality State-wide service.
What you'll do
- Supervise a small team of Purchasing Officers to ensure that Health and Hospital Services (HHSs) clinical and non-clinical purchasing requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identify staff training needs and coordinate or deliver relevant training to support skill development and service effectiveness.
- Undertake cost effective and innovative purchasing, inventory management, invoice verification and contract management support to clients.
- Maintain current vendor, customer, inventory and system records as required and maintain an adequate knowledge of computerised purchasing and inventory management systems.
- Ensure that the housekeeping aspects of the role, such as Receipt and Invoice reconciliation and back order reports are kept up to date and actioned.
- Regularly review procurement procedures for compliance with modern purchasing practices and instigate corrective action where necessary.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Proven ability to provide sound supervision and coordinate the administrative workload and staff within an inventory management and service delivery environment to meet KPIs.
- Ability to work autonomously or cohesively in a team with administrative, operational and professional staff; and effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients to respond to requirements in a professional and efficient manner.
- Developed communication and engagement skills, including the ability to build internal and external relationships, as well as a demonstrated ability to promote a positive, healthy workplace culture free form bullying and discrimination.
- Demonstrated ability to be responsive, well organised and the ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively and ensure attention to detail.
