About the work unit / facility

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Charters Towers is part of the Mental Health Service Group within Townsville HHS. The team provides specialist case management and therapeutic services to children and young people experiencing complex mental health challenges, working collaboratively with families, schools, and community partners.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $3030.00 – $4453.50 (HP3) or $4138.10 – $4431.10 (NG6).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-oriented mental health services to children and youth in Charters Towers. You will provide assessment, treatment, and case management, contributing to a safe and therapeutic environment while supporting national and state mental health initiatives.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
  • Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership with AASW.
  • Evidence of vaccination against VPDs and TB screening as per Queensland Health policy.
  • Current Class C driver licence.
  • A probationary period may apply.
