About the work unit / facility

Child Youth and Family Health Services (CYFHS) at Kirwan Health Campus deliver community-based care across Townsville HHS. Services include home visiting, immunisation clinics, parenting programs, and school-based health initiatives. The team supports families through early intervention and holistic nursing care.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $4138.10 – $4431.10 per fortnight ($54.44 – $58.30 per hour) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

As a Clinical Nurse in the Sustained Health Home Visiting program, you will deliver family-centred care to parents and children in homes, clinics, and community settings. You will lead clinical decision-making, support child development, and contribute to early intervention strategies across Townsville HHS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
  • Evidence of VPD vaccinations or immunity.
  • Class C driver's licence.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Child Youth and Family Health (highly desirable).
  • Completion or willingness to complete an approved immunisation course.
  • A probationary period may apply.
