Your new role:
As a Dental Assistant with Metro South Health, you will play a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality dental care for patients of all ages. You'll work closely with dentists and the broader oral health team to prepare equipment, provide four-handed dentistry, assist with patient comfort, and maintain a high standard of infection control and surgery readiness.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and materials for a variety of dental procedures
- Assist in preventing, identifying, and managing medical emergencies
- Monitor equipment, steriliser performance, and quality assurance processes
- Work across multiple Metro South Health facilities as required
The Process
This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual employment opportunities. About you:
You are an organised, proactive, and team-focused dental assistant who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care. You communicate well, work calmly under pressure, and follow clinical guidelines with accuracy and professionalism.
You will bring:
- Experience in all aspects of dental assisting across diverse patient groups
- Ability to prioritise tasks and organise workload efficiently
- Understanding of medico-legal responsibilities and ethical practice
- Working with Children Blue Card (required)
