Metro South Health is seeking expressions of interest for a Dental Assistant Talent Pool (CA3) within Metro South Oral Health Services. This talent pool will be used to fill casual and temporary full-time or part-time opportunities over the next 12 months across Central Sterilising (CSD) and Chair Side dental assisting roles at various locations across Metro South.

Your new role:
As a Dental Assistant within Metro South Oral Health Services, you may be engaged in Central Sterilising (CSD) and/or Chair Side duties, supporting dental teams to deliver high-quality general and specialist oral health care. Working as part of a multi-skilled team, you will contribute to safe clinical environments, infection control, equipment reprocessing and patient support across a range of clinical settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing dental assisting support within CSD and/or chair-side environments
- Preparing, cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising reusable dental instruments
- Supporting four-handed dentistry and clinical procedures (chair-side roles)
- Maintaining infection control and work health and safety standards
About you:
You are a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality care. You are adaptable, detail-focused and comfortable working across different clinical settings as required.
You will bring:
- A Dental Assisting Certificate (mandatory)
- Knowledge of infection control, sterilisation and dental assisting standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in busy clinical environments
- Willingness to work across CSD and/or chair-side roles as required
- Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
