Your new role:
As a Staff Specialist in Orthopaedics, you'll play a key role in delivering world-class care and supporting the continued growth of our Orthopaedics and Trauma service.
You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient outcomes, teaching, and research. This will include:
- Providing high-quality clinical care in lower limb elective surgery and outpatients, including joint replacement.
- Supervising and supporting Registrars, Senior and Junior Medical Officers, and medical students.
- Participating in registrar trauma lists, fracture clinics, and multidisciplinary patient care.
- Contributing to teaching, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development.
About you:
You are a motivated, collaborative and patient-centred specialist who demonstrates clinical excellence and a commitment to continuous learning and teaching. You will have:
- A MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS – Orthopaedics) or equivalent.
- a proven experience in orthopaedic surgery with a focus on lower limb procedures.
- A strong leadership and supervision skills, with a commitment to mentoring junior doctors and students.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
