Role details
The Clinical Support Services at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Dietitian to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
- The purpose of this position is to deliver high level nutrition and dietetic services to patients within Proserpine, Bowen and Collinsville Hospitals to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research. This position is required to undertake duties of a complex and varied nature exercising a high level of independence.
- The position also provides mentoring and professional practice supervision to less experienced staff and students.
- This position provides clinical care in person, via tele-heath and outreach throughout the three Whitsunday Region Hospitals and Community Health Centres. In certain circumstances overnight accommodation may be necessary.
About the Team
Our Nutrition and Dietetics Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. As experts in nutrition, our Dietitians provide education and practical support to enable patients to make dietary choices that will maximise their health and wellbeing. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department also:
- Facilitates practical placements for student dietitians and on the job training for new graduates;
- Undertakes quality improvement activities, and contributes to research and advancement of best practice nutrition care;
- Provides expert guidance and support to Foodservice operations at each hospital facility.
