We're excited to welcome an Advanced Recreation Officer to our team.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

The Advanced Recreation Officer is requited to plan, implement, and evaluate recreation services within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service District and to contribute to the optimal health status and rehabilitation of an individual, by providing recreation services to that individual, as a member of the health care team. The Recreation Officer program is offered across a 7-day roster.
Glenbrook Residential Aged Care Facility is a 45-bed purpose built high care residential aged care facility in Nambour providing the following services:
- Residential Transition Care Program (rTCP)
- General aged care
- Interim Care Beds
- Secure dementia wing
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide a consistently high-quality recreation service in accordance with professional and ethical standards. This would involve both assessment and treatment in consultation with patients, carers, and health care team members. This will include:
- Assess and interpret the client's functioning and leisure concepts, reporting findings to the health care team.
- Provide both individualised and group recreation opportunities.
Remuneration value up to $77 963 p.a , comprising salary rates $38.86- $41.02 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (Permanent part time position available, 64 hrs p.f.).
