Temporary opportunity to direct the clinical and corporate governance of the Ambulatory Services (Surgical, Gastroenterology, Rehabilitation and Geriatric Clinics/Day Hospital) in STARS and provide coordination that ensures effective and efficient service delivery, and optimisation of human, resource and material management.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to STARS Ambulatory Services to achieve operational and strategic reform, innovation and redesign initiatives for Ambulatory Services in line with MNH (Metro North Health) objectives and state-wide specialist outpatient service initiatives.
- Provide expert contemporary advice, leadership and advanced specialty knowledge to provide efficient and effective patient centred Ambulatory Services by:
- Maximising utilisation of resource capacity and the available infrastructure.
- Advocating and contributing to budget integrity by enabling appropriate service resourcing to support resource requirement and achieve schedule expectations, targets/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet service needs.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to enable the provision of effective and coordinated clinical services to meet service targets, KPIs and workforce needs.
- Demonstrate effective leadership in clinical governance, strategic direction, achievement of priorities, and safety and quality imperatives within integrated risk management frameworks that optimise performance.
- Display leadership integrity that promotes engagement and a positive workplace culture that supports implementation of strategic imperatives, and sustainable change management in a dynamic health care environment.
