Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. We are committed to the maintenance of a culture in which we treat our colleagues with respect as we do our patients, consumers and the community. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.

As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level psychology clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Health and Queensland Health.

Psychology clinicians within Women's and Children's Services work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within Women's and Children's Services as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff may be required to rotate across SCH as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver independent high level psychology clinical practice in the field of developmental paediatrics with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. This role is focussed on developmental assessment, rather than therapeutic intervention, and usually short-term involvement with clients.
