As part of our dedicated Workforce Safety and Wellbeing team, you'll champion a culture where staff feel supported, respected and safe. You'll work closely with leaders and frontline teams, providing expert advice on legislation, risk, investigations, and best-practice injury management. This role offers variety, influence and the opportunity to strengthen wellbeing across a diverse health service. You'll be backed by a collaborative Human Resources (HR) division that values connection, shared purpose and continuous growth.

About the role:

  • Deliver expert advice on work health, safety, wellbeing and Rehabilitation and Return to Work (RRTW) matters.
  • Coordinate audits, inspections and investigations to support compliance and risk management.
  • Lead initiatives, training and resources that uplift safety outcomes across Central Queensland Health.
  • Support managers with reporting, legislative interpretation and performance insights.
  • Strengthen networks with Health and Safety Contacts and Representatives.
  • Contribute to policy development, research and continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide high-quality injury management and rehabilitation guidance.
  • Maintain safe personal work practices and support a positive safety culture.

About you:

  • You bring strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, standards and safety systems.
  • You confidently conduct audits, investigations and risk assessments.
  • You apply best-practice injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work strategies.
  • You build positive, professional relationships with staff, leaders and external partners.
  • You respond calmly, fairly and professionally when navigating competing priorities.
  • You communicate clearly and work collaboratively to support safe, healthy workplaces.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $10,921 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $53.24 - $57.92 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
