As a Nurse Practitioner Candidate with Central Queensland Health, you'll be part of an engaged, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, person-centred care across the Central Highlands. Emerald Hospital is a 36-bed regional facility delivering acute, community and primary care services to a population of around 28,000 across the Central Highlands. About the role:
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation under supervision.
- Deliver patient-centred care across acute, chronic and primary care settings.
- Order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe therapies and initiate referrals within credentialed scope.
- Build health literacy through culturally responsive communication and therapeutic relationships.
- Participate in quality, safety, education and research activities to enhance patient outcomes.
- Contribute to clinical standards, care planning and evidence-based protocols.
- Support and mentor nursing staff to strengthen capability and teamwork.
About you:
- You hold AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and are completing a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).
- You bring advanced clinical judgement, critical thinking and a passion for rural healthcare.
- You value teamwork and communicate with clarity, compassion and cultural sensitivity.
- You demonstrate leadership, accountability and a commitment to continuous learning.
- You thrive in dynamic environments and deliver safe, evidence-informed care.
- You build strong relationships that support patient-centred outcomes and shared decision-making.

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $86,427 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
