About the opportunity
The Physiotherapist - Senior (Rehabilitation) will deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services and clinical leadership across Rehabilitation Services at The Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This position is integral to maintaining standards of physiotherapy practice in rehabilitation and contributing to the development of rehabilitation physiotherapy services.
The position also acts as a resource person in rehabilitation physiotherapy for staff, service managers and health care consumers of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. The position contributes to a 7-day, extended-hours physiotherapy (Emergency Department) and on-call service.
PLEASE NOTE - There are two temporary positions available.
One full-time position, 05/01/2026 - 03/01/2027, with a possibility of an additional 12 month extension.
One part-time position, 05/01/2026 - 03/01/2027, with a possibility of an additional 12 month extension (38 hours per fortnight).

- Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (HP4)
- 4 weeks annual leave (full-time) with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Physiotherapy.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- This is a VPD risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
