About the role

The pharmacy student performs a range of clinical support activities and on the job skills development while engaged in formal full-time or part-time tertiary studies necessary to acquire the relevant entry level qualification (mandatory) for employment as a Pharmacist in Queensland.

 

You will be required to submit your current University Academic Transcript. This is essential and applications will not be considered without this.

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Undertake tasks under close practice supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, including but not limited to dispensing prescriptions, supplying schedule 8 medicines, maintaining ward imprests and obtaining patient medication details.
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and skills through continuing work towards completion of a tertiary qualification in Pharmacy as recognised by the Australian Health Profession Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Develop and build clinical competency by actively participating in assessment and feedback processes.
  • Work cooperatively within the Pharmacy Department and greater multidisciplinary team to support provision of patient centred care.
