The Gladstone Allied Health team consists of six on site Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, and Social Work. The Gladstone Allied Health professions provide generalist services.
About the role:
Delivery of high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients/clients with varied diagnoses as a member of the Gladstone Allied Health Team within Central Queensland Hospital and Health service. Occupational Therapy promotes health and well-being through occupation. The primary goal is to enable people to participate in the activities of their everyday life. A major focus of Occupational Therapy roles is assisting consumers to maximise their health status by provision of assessment, intervention, health education and support services.
Within this role there is the opportunity to work within a variety of caseloads, spanning the continuum of care including inpatient, outpatient and community clinical settings, and where appropriate using a transdisciplinary service model. Clinical practice will remain flexible to ensure that the focus of the service delivery remains on delivering patient centred, sustainable and time appropriate care.
About you:
- The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA) and a current annual practicing certificate are mandatory for this position.
- Upcoming graduates awaiting conferral of qualifications and registration will be considered for this role.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $55.82 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
