What you'll do
- Lead a team that prepares the payroll data for the payroll system production, monitoring the data integrity of fortnightly data entry by payroll teams across the State and reviewing and optimising the data as part of the Queensland Health pay run process.
- Maintain a very high level of skill and experience with HR Systems (SAP and Workbrain) to facilitate discussions and error resolution with Corporate Technology Services' Production Support Team.
- Maintain a high-level knowledge of industrial instruments, whole of government directives and organisational policies and their application to various employment related matters.
- Coordinate the completion of critical error management processes necessary to operate and produce the Queensland Health payroll, escalate arising issues and/or risks and provide feedback to payroll teams to improve error levels at point of entry.
- Participate in business analysis and advice regarding the payroll production, the reconciliation of the payroll and the cumulative data quality for end of financial year closure and single touch payroll reporting.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of delivering payroll and rostering system processes and procedures in a large multifaceted, multidisciplinary organisation.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in the operation of a complex large payroll and the necessary Audit and reconciliation requirements and standards including the end of financial year processes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver requirements and maintain quality in a time pressured 'must deliver' environment.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll projects, payroll system management and the business requirements necessary in meeting payroll compliance standards.
