In this senior nursing role, you'll bring advanced prison health knowledge together with digital health expertise to support the safe implementation of PeMR across the Capricornia Correctional Centre. Working closely with project teams and clinical leaders, you'll influence decision-making, redesign workflows and shape how care is delivered within a structured and complex environment. Your leadership will strengthen clinical governance, enhance quality and safety, and support staff as they transition to new systems and ways of working.

Capricornia Offender Health Service provides primary and emergency care to approximately 1100 prisoners across the Capricornia Correctional Centre and Correctional Farm. Our multidisciplinary team delivers equitable, evidence-based care within a secure environment, supporting acute needs, chronic disease management and health promotion. About the role:
- Provide expert clinical leadership for the implementation of the Prison Electronic Medical Record (PeMR).
- Advise on safe digital workflows, eHealth functionality and prison health clinical requirements.
- Assess existing workflows, identify gaps and develop future-state processes.
- Lead clinical governance, quality, safety and risk management activities.
- Support project planning, reporting, documentation and benefit realisation.
- Coordinate staff education and training related to PeMR.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and guide effective change management.
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.
About you:
- You hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- You bring deep clinical knowledge of prison health and a passion for safe digital care.
- You demonstrate advanced autonomous practice and confident multidisciplinary decision-making.
- You excel in analysing complex problems and developing evidence-informed solutions.
- You communicate with influence and navigate ambiguity with calm, constructive leadership.
- You value collaboration, respect diverse perspectives and build trust quickly.
- You adapt readily to shifting priorities in a dynamic, secure environment.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
