About us:

The Medical Workforce Support Unit (MWSU) provides advice and assistance to the Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS) and Directors of Medical Services (DMSs) in relation to medical officer employment for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). The MWSU has a Hospital and Health Service wide operational responsibility for medical workforce recruitment and onboarding with the focus on designing, delivering and supporting a sustainable medical workforce model for CQ Health.

About the role:

  • Facilitates and supports the seamless process of medical employment by contributing to a team based and client focussed environment.
  • Coordinates a high quality and effective recruitment and appointment service for senior and visiting medical staff (specialists and non-specialists) for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

About you:

  • Coordinate the advertising of all senior and visiting medical officer positions in line with Queensland Health policies and directive and meeting Department of Home Affairs requirements for labour market testing to attract and recruit Senior Medical Officers to Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
  • In consultation with the respective clinical leads and their support staff, liaise with shortlisted candidates to finalise interviews.
  • Coordinate the commencement and on-boarding process for senior medical staff.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with a range of health service/hospital/clinical department staff, other Government departments and external agencies including AHPRA and recruitment agencies.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $9,515 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
