What you'll do
- Provide high level support and administration aligned to departmental standards, policies, procedures, and facilities services processes.
- Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all clients
- Provide quality facilities services to supported by timely and accurate communications
- Develop and maintain the knowledge of relevant maintenance standards, legislative requirements, building regulations and safety guidelines required to ensure service delivery is provided in the most appropriate manner
- Undertake periodic reporting on contractor performance, financial performance, and accounts payable inclusive of maintenance service documentation
- Provide high level support, solution recommendations, and advice to management to help effective decision making and efficient service delivery
- Assist with the management of minor projects, refurbishment projects, minor accommodation alterations, new fit outs works and staff relocation activities
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Possesses high level communication and interpersonal skills, relates well to people at all levels, uses diplomacy and tact, sound judgement on sensitive and confidential issues, and builds constructive and effective relationships
- Understands and applies OH&S contractor risk management principles associated with workplace safety to minimise risk to the Department
- Possesses well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to provide briefing notes, negotiate, advice, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make the right decision
- Understands and complies with governance, legislative, regulatory requirements and departmental policies and procedures to achieve team and individual work outcomes
- Takes personal responsibility for resolving problems and building relationships with customers
- Understands and applies audit, reporting, financial delegation principals
