Your new role:

In this dynamic position, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred mental health assessment and intervention within a 24-hour Emergency Department service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, therapeutic interventions, patient education and discharge planning within an interprofessional team.
  • Contribute to clinical education through supervision of students, allied health assistants and participation in team-based learning.
  • Participate in quality improvement, service development and research activities under the guidance of senior clinicians.
  • Work within a continuous shift roster to support 24/7 emergency mental health service delivery.

You are a compassionate, motivated allied health professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to collaborative, patient-centred care.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Ability to deliver evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions in an emergency context.
  • Strong communication skills with the capacity to work effectively within an interprofessional team.
  • Commitment to continual professional development and the ability to build growing clinical expertise.
  • Capacity to support the education and development of students and junior staff.
