Advanced Social Worker- Logan-Beaudesert Child Protection
Metro South Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Social Worker to join the Logan-Beaudesert Child Protection Unit within the Women and Children Division. This temporary full-time HP5 role (until November 2026) provides advanced clinical leadership, operational coordination and professional governance in the delivery of high-quality, child-centred protection services across Logan and Beaudesert.

Your new role:
In this senior role, you will lead, coordinate and deliver advanced social work services that support safe, evidence-informed and multidisciplinary responses to child protection matters across hospital and community settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced clinical consultation, assessment, intervention and risk management in complex child protection matters.
- Leading and supervising HP4 Social Workers and students while overseeing workload allocation, triage, prioritisation and service coordination.

You are a highly skilled social worker with advanced clinical capability, strong leadership qualities and a commitment to child-centred, culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
