Advance Nursing Practice in a Collaborative Rural Education Team
Beaudesert Hospital’s Nursing and Midwifery Education Team is seeking two Temporary Part-Time Clinical Facilitators (40 hours each per fortnight, 6-month contract with possible extension) to provide expert clinical leadership, education and support in our rural setting.

Your new role:
As a Clinical Facilitator at Beaudesert Hospital, you will help shape high-quality rural nursing and midwifery practice through:
- Providing advanced clinical leadership and expert problem-solving for patients with complex care needs.
- Applying autonomous practice and critical thinking to guide safe, high-quality care.
- Collaborating with educators and clinical teams across Maternity, Emergency, General Ward, Perioperative and Palen Creek Correctional Centre.
- Delivering individualised rural education programs tailored to staff, community needs and rural workforce governance strategies.
- Supporting quality improvement activities, risk mitigation, policy development and alignment with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Assisting with portfolio management, change initiatives and team coordination.
About you:
As an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical leadership and a passion for rural education, I demonstrate this through:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Advanced clinical decision-making, assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Experience providing leadership, supervision, delegation and support across multidisciplinary teams.
- High-level ability to plan, deliver and evaluate nursing education, including simulation-based teaching.
- Strong communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to support undergraduate and graduate staff and promote a positive learning culture.
- Competence in EMR systems and strong digital literacy including Microsoft Office.
- A valid Class C driver's licence and the ability to work all rostered shifts.

Beaudesert Hospital:
Beaudesert Hospital is a rural hospital in Queensland's Scenic Rim region with a rich history of healthcare that spans more than 120 years. We provide rural healthcare across a large geographic area south-west of Logan and the Gold Coast with patients who see us coming from Undullah in the north-west right down to the southern Queensland border. We offer services to adults and children, including 24-hour emergency care, maternity, mental, dental, allied health and outpatient clinics, minor surgery and palliative care.
We're a smaller hospital that offer hands-on training and support to our staff and students. As a secondary teaching hospital, we also have strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland. Our region is known for its scenery and rural charm and patients at the hospital receive care from our team, who are passionate about caring for their community.
