The ENT Surgical Service Group at Townsville University Hospital provides comprehensive ear, nose, and throat surgical care for patients across Northern Queensland. As part of a major tertiary hospital, the unit delivers advanced clinical services, education, and research, supporting a diverse population and complex case mix.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $8062.00 - $10221.70 per fortnight (L18-L27).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

As a Staff Specialist ENT, you will provide high-quality clinical and non-clinical ENT surgical services, lead education and research initiatives, and contribute to service development. You will manage complex cases, participate in the consultant on-call roster, and support junior medical staff within a dynamic tertiary hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent.
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Preferable: Australian Residency status.
  • Evidence of vaccination or immunity for VPDs as per Queensland Health policy.
  • A probationary period may apply.
