Rockhampton Hospital is seeking an Assistant Director of Pharmacy for a full-time or part-time contract from January to June 2026. Lead clinical and distribution services at Rockhampton Hospital, manage HP and operational teams, drive medication safety, shape service improvements and support pharmacy delivery across multiple CQ facilities. About us:
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Pharmacy provides pharmacy services to all clinical facilities within Central Queensland. Each department consists of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, who provide services to acute care in patients and also to outpatient or community focussed clinics.
About the role:
The Assistant Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the professional and operational management of clinical pharmacy (including dispensary) and distribution services at Rockhampton Hospital. Direct line management will also be provided for Health Practitioners and Operational Staff working in the pharmacy service at the Rockhampton Hospital.
About you:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in pharmacy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).
- While not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification in pharmacy practice/management and previous hospital pharmacy management experience is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,385 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
