Your new role:
As the Nursing Director for the Emergency Department and Clinical Support Service Line, you will lead the strategic, operational and professional direction of diverse nursing services across Logan Hospital and Metro South Health.
In this role, you will:
- Provide high-level nursing leadership, governance and accountability across Emergency and Clinical Support services, ensuring safe, high-quality and efficient service delivery.
- Drive strategic and operational performance, workforce planning, resource management and service excellence across multi-site, multidisciplinary environments.
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative models of care, contemporary clinical governance systems, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape organisational strategy, deliver on key performance outcomes, and strengthen integration across the health service.
About you:
You are an accomplished nursing leader with the strategic capability, professional insight and operational strength to lead a complex service portfolio.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience in contemporary nursing practice, clinical governance, service planning, fiscal management and delivering person-centred, evidence-based care.
- Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams through change, build workforce capability and foster a culture of excellence, accountability and innovation.
- Highly developed communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and guide system-wide improvements.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership, driving performance improvement, applying research and data insights, and navigating complex operational environments.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
