Role details
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Transport Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
To provide a range of operational service functions to facilitate the delivery of a quality service to consumers who utilise the Specialist Outpatients Department including a safe and efficient transport service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers to and from Specialist Outpatient clinics and other Mackay Hospital and Health Service, as well as delivery of laboratory specimens and other goods to and from designated points as required.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit is an essential element of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service support services and ensures the development and delivery of culturally appropriate services and models of health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families.
