About the role
The appointment will be to Metro North Health for the provision of services to Hospital In The Home, Community and Oral Health Directorate. Depending on service needs the registrar will be primarily based at Caboolture Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital or North Lakes Health Precinct. Rotation between these sites may occur during the appointment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Demonstrated skills or interest in developing skills pertinent to General Medicine and Infectious Diseases in the ambulatory acute care setting.
- Conduct interviews, examinations and the identification of clinical problems through a variety of modalities, including home visits, telehealth and clinic reviews.
- Contribute to after hours cover of all patients admitted to the Metro North HITH service, including remote on-call shifts (typically once per week 1606-1800h), weekend shifts (typically 1:5 weekends, Saturday and Sunday 0800-1606) and public holiday cover.
- You will be primarily based at Caboolture Hospital or Redcliffe Hospital to facilitate referrals and safe onboarding of patients onto the HITH program, but attendance at North Lakes Health Precinct will be expected at least weekly to support patient review in the HITH Intervention (HINT) Clinic and other patient care processes required by the multidisciplinary team based at this site.
