This role will lead and manage a team of multidisciplinary staff that support a range of IT functions across Forensic Science Queensland. This role will be responsible for providing the delivery of high quality; timely service management functions; data and information resources that enable the Corporate Operations branch to achieve program goals and service objectives.

Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate and negotiate effectively with FSQ stakeholders and service partners, rapidly building an understanding of the relevant, health service specific legislation, policy, guidelines, terminology, standards and procedures that constitute and shape the business context and environment.
• Significant experience and proven ability to deliver sustainable, high quality (IT enabled), performance focussed health informatics services and support to stakeholders and service partners throughout the state.
• Significant experience in managing an ITIL environment, particularly around change and incident management processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the software application management – including its techniques, methods, deliverables, standards and frameworks, supported by extensive experience managing and supporting medium-large scale application software across the full software development and service management lifecycles.
• Working knowledge of/proficiency with specialised technologies, IT tools and software products, with an aptitude to embrace and employ emerging, contemporary software technologies and tools.
• Commitment to producing quality IT enabled products and services, and continuous improvement of work practices, exemplified by a thorough, disciplined and professional approach to team-based work.
